Witchcraft Wicca
Does anyone know the names of malevolent or just generally bad spirits in relation to witchcraft/wicca?
If your source comes from the internet, please could you give the site address.

I should make it clear that the reason I want this information is because I am trying to write a novel and am doing my research. It's not because I intend to 'get in contact' with the spirits.
Pagans/wiccans don't believe in 'Bad' spirits persay, especially not in the 'evil' sense of the word as they have no concept of evil. However 'mischievious' is often a word used for spirits that like to mess about, play tricks, annoy people and cause trouble.
Just to put the whole witchcraft/wicca thing to bed:
Wicca was supposedly created in the 1950's by a man called Gerald Gardner. In fact, he JOINED a Wiccan coven in 1939, and much of the Wiccan belief system can be traced back to several people in the 1800's, including Charles Leland (1824-1903), who was the founder of the Gypsy Lore society, and Margaret Murray (1863 - 1963), authoress of books about witchcraft in Europe.
Gerald Gardener is known because he gained permission from his coven to write a book about Wicca in 1949. He plumped up his book by adding many ideas from different sects of paganism, such as celtic symbols, rituals, concepts from old Magick, as well as Freemason concepts. He wrote several other books during his lifetime, All About Wicca.
Wicca is a modern day version of paganism. Witchcraft is associated with PAGANISM, which is a global word that encompassess the many ancient religions that existed before Christianity and most mainstream religions. Such things as Nordic, Egyptian, Buddhism, Celtic, Native American (sorry, i don't know the true name of your faith). I am a PAGAN. I am also known as a witch, although my faith is more towards the egyptian gods/goddesses than british ones.
Now that we have that cleared up, names of spirits. If you look back through the pagan religions, you'll find many mischievious spirits. One that springs to mind is Loki, from the Nordik Viking tales. Also Puck from ancient English beliefs, Hobgoblins, Sprites (on occasion). The Scots had Brownies, the germans had Kobolds. Satyrs and Fauns were also supposed to be 'mischievious', often promising people things in return for favours, then neglecting to honour their part of the deal, or causing trouble between people. They were also tricksters. However they also appeared to bring Good Luck and happiness, when they felt like it of course.
I'm at work at the moment so I haven't the time to do more research, but if you're interested let me know and i'll do what I can to get you some more names
