help with my wicca story?
im writting a story about wiccans and my main charecter will be attending an academy and I need help with the classes i can only think of a few like runes Tarot Cards herb magic and stuff like that if you have any suggestions please answer thank you
Ok, so you've got Runes, (But how many variations? There's several types of Norse and Germanic runes, other than the Elder Futhark, and also the ever popular Ogham runes.)
And you've got the tarot. And herb magic. In addition to herb magic, you could have classes centering around growing the plants, involving processes like checking soil quality, how to tell if plants need water, companion planting, and ways of growing plants from clippings or roots of other plants and you could do a class about using herbs as medicine, which is whole other category that a lot of Wiccans get into.)
Ok, so a class about the history of Wicca.
A 'practical magic' class, teaching useful things like a Home Ec. class would (and introduce the kind of magic, i.e. is it the real kind or the shoot fire out of a wand kind?)
A class about tools and uses, a beginners class.
Candle making and using.
Scrying with pendulum or Crystal Ball or mirror.
Studying many different pantheons.
Class studying many types of correspondences. (I.E. The direction North is associated with Earth and the pentagram, while the direction West is associated with Water and the bowl/cup/cauldron, and there are tons of correspondences out there to learn)
Spell crafting
Ritual crafting
Actually doing spells.
