Wand Collectors
Hermione Halloween costume (wand)?
I want to go as Hermione to my friends' costume party on Halloween this year, but I don't want it to cost a lot. I'm wearing a black skirt and button-down shirt that I already have, plus a gray sweater like te one she wears in Order of the Phoenix. I've already found a Gryffindor tie, and I'm planning to curl my hair rather than getting a wig.
The only thing left is a wand, and I'm having trouble with that. Everything I find is either a very expensive collectors' item or a cheap toy that the paint peels off of immediately, according to the customer reviews.
I want something that will hold up for the costume party, but doesn't have to last forever. Preferably costing less than $10. I'd prefer it to look at least somewhat like her wand in the movie.
Any suggestions?
These don't say anything about peeling paint.
