How do I make a mold from a terracotta wall pocket?
The terracotta pot is small and looks like a face. It hangs on a wall and a plant can be put inside. There is some detail along top. It is the only one I have and do not want to damage it. It must be preserved.
Look for a local artist - someone who does sculpture. Check your community college for art students or professor who can help you. They know what materials to use and will probably help you make the mold as a project. Any one who deal in 3-D art should be able to offer you some tips/help since this is their thing. If you live near a large City I would look for sculpture artist there first- someone who makes busts or statues.
