Necklace Barrel

Would this be weird if i opened it?

I would like to be an entrepreneur when i'm older. I'm 13 now. I love to bake cupcakes...and make crafts, such as: necklaces, bracelets, pillow cases, etc.

I was thinking of maybe combining to two by having a cupcake/cake decorating section of the store, yes people could decorate their own cupcakes...please don't steal my idea.

Then like having a section or lining the walls with bookcases of my crafts. Would this be weird? Combining food and crafts?

Craker Barrel does this...in a way and people love it.

Or I was thinking of cupcake store then craft online-store.

Please tell me your true opinion.

why not experiment a bit and put together a type of "show"
take some digital photo's of what it is you want to accomplish, and then do a web site
yahoo offers some pretty inexpensive rates
i've designed web sites with them for YEARS
basically i just shoot, then upload to pc the pix (i use kodak easy share program, as i always crop and edit) then drag (or export to file folder created on desktop) the final product
then i upload to web site. kodak easy share is a free program.
walreeens also offers one the does the same thing.
once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature.
you also might want to do an INTENSE search of craft supplies from wholesalers. i would start by going to your local craft store and taking notes on the companies that supply them. then google them, and contact them.
before you'd get a wholesaler price however, you'd have to be incorporated and have a tax number etc.
so before you do all of that, i'd spend a day or 7 and do a deep search on who is doing it, to learn your compitition, but more importantly just HOW AND WHAT they are offering.
on the food network there was that goof ball chef bobby flan (or whaterver) that was in compition with a gal who opened a cupcakke store. maybe see if You Can view that video.
now she started out small, and grew really big. but she had an excellent recipe(s). so it's not just having a good IDEA, but also having a good product that people will want to buy.
considering that you are young (by comparison of me, i'm 52 YIPES!!!!) you have your whole future ahead of you to plan, and do some research into all of this.
i would certainly recommend that you take some consumer ec or business classes in high school.
as well as math.
in the business world, it's not just All About idea's, but showing the numbers in a well rounded business plan.
you'll do it, and i hope i'll be eating one of your cupcakes one day!!!
(psssst...it wouldn't hurt you to take some home ec classes, and get a job in a bakery under any position just to learn the trade either!!)
