Learn Kid

how to help your kid learn to read?

my 4 year old is eager to learn how to read. i try to help her but also have 2 other small children and can't dedicate as much time to my 4 year old as i should. she really wants to read and i want to help her. i was thinking of getting her the little pen thing from, i believe leap frog, for Christmas that supposedly helps them learn. i was wondering if any of you had suggestions on other items that may help.

There is a lot of tv shows that will help her like Between the Lions at PBS or Word world also at PBS. There is also a fantastic web site starfall.com that my sons school uses and they so at home too now. My son learned to read when he was 3 and he did it pretty much on his own. I helped him a little but mostly it was just him figuring it out. But let her play at the web site it's a lot of fun
