what is this peice of amethyst worth?
i found a peice of amethyst about the size of a crumpled up piece of paper. In some spots it is a dark and pretty purple. How much would it be worth?
You don't mention if it is rough or a cut stone.
Rough Amethyst can be bought cheaply by the pound from online vendors and in Tucson.
Unless there is something really special about your particular piece of Amethyst, such as an exquisite purple and perfectly unincluded, it is probably worth less than what it would cost to ship it somewhere.
