Which is more powerful- Money or Prayer?
Namaste Ankit-ji!
It is evident that with our human eyes, we think that money is more powerful. We see results right away. We see it even more when we do not have money and power to buy things.
However, Ankit-ji, with all due respect to everyone, this is because we are limited human beings. We are limited by our senses. We cannot grasp what is too subtle for us: the power of prayer, the power of spiritual endeavor. We do not see immediate and material results most of the time. Consequently we deny the power of prayer.
Yet, Ankit-ji, money is just as limited as we are. I have a friend right now who is struggling for her life, one in millions of people right now struggling for their life. I can go to my bank and take out all my savings, and even take loans, and give it to the doctors: this is no guarantee my friend will survive or will die serenely.
All I have is my knees to kneel down, my hands to join, my eyes to close, and my heart to pray God most humbly so that either she survives or she can die peacefully with not too much suffering.
And the power of prayer is such that it soothes the praying person in the process of praying.
I firmly believe that prayer sets in motion many subtle vibrations which never ever stop reverberating in the universe. They are the peaceful vibrations which we all need.
Many accounts of the power of prayer have been given throughtout the world and throughout the centuries on miracles of prayer in all religions. When I touch the feet of my guru, it is not because he wears a Rolex (just kidding), not because he knows all the prayers, but because of the power and intensity of his prayers that reverberate on a very long distance and radiate on his face and on the people around him.
Therefore, Ankit-ji, I will say that although realistically money seems powerful, in a more profound realistic way which we cannot yet grasp, prayer is much, much more powerful.
