Which Lego Harry Potter game? Xbox 360, Wii, Ds, PC, PSP.?
First of all I do not have a PS3, and I am not going to buy one. I am a huge Harry Potter fan, and I want the game for the best system. I also want my moneys worth(I am saving up for a laptop). I am not sure to get the normal version or collectors edition either. Which do you think. Thank you.
I went for the Wii version because of the Wiimote. You use it to target spells and weapons; much easier in my opinion than with the little thumbstick on the 360 or the PS3. The key thing that the 360, PS3 and the PC versions have going for them is higher resolution graphics. The best You Can do on the Wii us 480p. I've played all the Lego games on the Wii and I think they look great, no complaints from me about the graphics.
Using the mouse on a PC gives you the best of both worlds, high resolution and easy targeting control. However, I prefer the convenience of plopping down on my couch in front of my tv with a console like Wii or Xbox 360 so I'm not dealing with anti-virus, system updates, sitting at a desk, IMs, etc.
From what I've read there are no content differences in the versions.
The collectors edition doesn't really seem worth it. For an extra $20 you get four magnets and a "behind the scenes" video which you can probably watch online within a week or two. With the 360 version you also get a code to give your xbox live avatar an exclusive harry potter themed item.
