Point Reiki
Reiki and increased concern for animals?
I am Reiki attuned, and ever since then, I have become profoundly concerned about animals. I mean, I've always loved animals and have felt a connection with them, but now it sometimes consumes me (almost to the point where I cannot focus on anything else). <--This usually happens when I learn about a situation where someone has mistreated an animal or if I hear about an animal cruelty case.
Has anyone else (who is Reiki attuned) had such an experience? And either way, is there an explanation or reason for this? What can I do about it?
I am an animal Reiki practitioner and do Reiki with shelter animals. Go to: http://www.animalreikisource.com and read some of the information there. Kathleen Prasad has that site and she has been working with animals in shelters and individually for over ten years. She has formed a group SARA (Shelter Animals Reiki Source).
Know that You Can send Reiki ANYWHERE, to ANY situation if that is your intention. I just recently had the training and attunements for Distance Reiki and am still working with my symbols (the third one seems very daunting to me) and I am spending several weeks on each one - just starting the second. I send distance Reiki anyway for situations I encounter where I cannot be present with the animal.
The Reiki will go where needed for the highest good of all concerned. WE are not responsible for the evil that happens in the world and we must do what we can to promote healing through our meditations and Reiki work.
Remember one of your five daily precepts is "I will not worry". Concentrate on working on yourself to help heal your disturbing fixation on animal cruelty.
