Parchment Paper
How do you use parchment paper to trace pictures onto cakes?
I have seen on cake websites that people have used parchment paper to trace pictures they have found in coloring books or online onto cakes. Does anyone know how to do this?
Draw the outline of the Coloring Book picture on the parchment paper. Cut it out. Place this outline on the frosted cake and take something similar to a toothpick or bamboo skewer and trace the paper outline onto the cake. Remove the paper.
Now sketch in any important features w the toothpick. Outline everything with a narrow piped line of frosting. Then fill in as appropriate with smooth frosting or perhaps use a star tip.
Coloring book pictures work well because of their simple designs.
