I know they are called wiccans or pagans I think am not sure but did they? And how about wands? If not where did the idea come from?

Ok - Wicca is a NEW religion, stemming from the 1950s and a book by Gerald Gardner.
Pagan is an umbrella term for every religion not christian, muslim or jewish.
Witches never flew on brooms, and nowadays they use airplanes.
Brooms are used as a part of some magic rituals, and EVERY household had a broom in it back then. It was very easy to accuse a housewife of activities she's never engaged in when you have no clue exactly what it is she DOES do all day long.

EDIT - Ummm Kat? No, being a Wiccan does NOT make you a witch. MANY Wiccans choose to follow the religious path but not to become witches. Becoming a witch is a conscious choice, a lifelong course of study and is a PRACTICE, NOT a religion. Get it now????
