How do I make myself less available to him?
I think I came on too strong. After he canceled our 5th date, I need to dial it back and let him miss me or consider that I'm not just totally available to him.
How can I make myself less available without seeming uninterested.
I think I need to do this because during his "date cancel conversation" he hinted about things being "too much" --something along those lines. I just got the very distinct impression that he thinks I'm over-doing it, so I need to give it and him a lot of space for a few weeks or so.
How?
Try not calling or texting for a while. Hopefully he will be the one to contact you first. I'm not a fan of games, but if someone tells you that you're coming on too strong, then I don't know what else You Can do. Give it some time and he doesn't call you, then I would consider moving on. Resist the urge to call him and "find out what's going on." Men don't like having that conversation, and they just end up saying "I've been busy. Lots is going on at work. I'm so stressed lately." If he doesn't call, or want to see you again, then HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU. Check out that movie while you're waiting for him to call.
