Can anyone suggest some good adult scifi/fantasy comics? Like Heavy Metal/Druuna/Ironwood/Luis Royo? Thanks?
I'm currently looking for some comics more along the lines of scifi/fantasy and erotica, very much like the titles I named above. I especially like Luis Royo's Glamurno works. Are these collected into any comics? I also like Convent from Hell. Can anyone suggest any to me? Thanks.
The following is a link to some short stories by Clark Ashton Smith. No... they is not comics but they are so weird that a lover of sci fi/fantasy like myself can't help but to recommend them.
This guy has one hell of a vocabulary so if you do not understand some of his verbal esoterica just keep reading. These stories are in alphabetical order (some are fragments & synopsis only).
There is one story that creeps me out to the max here. It takes place on Mars and is call the Vaults of Yoh-Vombis. Read the abridged version. It is shorter and easier to read. BTW... All Martian beings are called the Aihai (I think I spelled that right).
Other good stories I recommend here are:
the Charnal God - Takes place on Zothique (a fantasy continent at the end of earth's time
Master of the Crabs - Zothique
Black Abbot of Puthum - another Zothique - an old favorite with a classic theme
the Stairs in the Crypt - a vampire type story in NO way related to twilight or dracula
don't forget:
the Vaults of Yoh-Vombis - abridged version (you will see serveral versions)
None of these stories are real long. They are worth the read though. Clark Ashton Smith was a buddy of HP lovecraft and one deranged dude.
