Fairy Faerie
I am looking for a book of fairy tales from the 1980's?
The only story I remember is there was a lame ugly fairy who was turned into a beautiful mermaid because of a pearl... I think the stories were based on the seven deadly sins. There was a baker faerie as well but I don't remember the rest. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

It's a pretty good book search site. You give them as much info as you have on the book you're looking for, like plot details, character names, etc., and they'll do their best to find the book for you. Sometimes all it takes is just a tiny bit of detail from the book and someone there will come up with the book. I've used them several times and have been amazed at the way they've found the books I was looking for. If no one comes up with the title here you should give them a try, they're a totally free service.
