why is it that some wigs/toupe's for men can have their hairline show? i've seen men in commercials with ....?
their hair up in the front, no bangs....and it looks real, like the hair is coming out of the scalp??? is that a camera trick or something. they show closeups and the guys have gel in their hair, or have their hair up so u can see the hairline. and i'm not talking about hair plugs(transplants).
Nowadays I think they are using the same technology as Beyonce, Brianna, Jessica Simpson, John Travolta, etc. are on about, Lace Wigs. While it's about 90% likely that the photos you see them in have been edited, See below.

I realize that it is kind of a girls' site, but the way the wigs work is the same. The lace the front (or perimeter, or all of it) hair is very thin, and is often clear or flesh toned. Some can be dyed. Against your skin, it's virtually undetectable. If the knots where the hair is tied at the bottom are bleached, you don't see the little ball at the bottom, and they look even MORE realistic.Some will wear a fleshtoned cap over their own hair or scalp underneath the wig, so the look when you part the wig on top looks like scalp through the transparent lace. others will use flesh colored bandages (really!) to simulate the scalp color. The wigs and hairpieces can be worn as is, or adhered with tape or glue. They are actually much more comfortable than wigs of old, even in warm weather, and the costs have come down an awful lot. I did a bit of scanning and have seen some men's wigs are still kinda up there pricewise, but not all. Thanks to those hollywood stars for helping the rest of us afford this wonderful technology. I love them, and prefer them to my own hair Every Day. They are easy and fun, and will stay put if applied properly. You can do it yourself and save lots over some of these replacement companies you mentioned.
BTW, hair cloning is moving along VERY well, and though not cheap, it's getting there soon. I realize more men have hairpieces than women, so if that's what you are thinking about, try:
