what is this Chinese belief/Fortune Telling ritual called?
this is how the ritual goes:
the person asks a question answerable by a "yes" or "no" then tosses two "stones" (or wood) shaped like that of a yin and yang then if the two end up having the same position (both facing up or down) then the answer is "no". but if the position of the two are different (one facing up the other facig down), the answer is yes.
what is the ritual called? how about the "stones"?
do you believe in this "fortune" telling?
It's called I-Ching and it's actually much more complicated than what you described.
It's just a device to help you to focus on a problem and a course of action.
