Chinese Fengshui: The placement of a round mirror outside your door?
My friend asks me but I have no idea of the answer.
It says in Chinese Fengshui, if two houses are facing each other in some way that the front gates are directly face against each other, the "stronger" will "suck" the energy from the "weaker", could be the form of health, fortune, luck and money, so the "stronger" will get richer and else. To prevent this, the "weaker house" must hang some kind of a round mirror (not glass but mirror) above their garage door or any other door which has a straight distance with their gate, to reflect the dark energy back. It sounds a little unscientific, but my Chinese friend believes in it, but he needs to be sure before he places the mirror on his door. Can anyone help?

* Reflection
* Deflection

Mirrors can be used to deflect negative influence away From Your home. When used for this purpose, the mirror's reflection is "bouncing back" the harmful chi towards its source. Often a ba gua mirror - a small round mirror in an octagonal frame, usually red and/or yellow in color and decorated with black trigrams - is placed on the exterior of the home to deflect sha chi (harmful energy) aimed at the property, the structure, or the front door.
The key differences between using a mirror to reflect/attract a positive influence and to deflect/repel and negative influence are placement and intention. When you are reflecting/attracting a positive image into your space, the mirror is inside Your Home. When you are deflecting/repelling sha chi, the mirror is hung on the exterior of the home.
