Carved Sphere
Will my royal icing go bad if I don't refrigerate it?
I'm in 8th grade, and in our science class we're studying cells. We're doing this project where we have to make a 3-D model of either a plant or an animal cell (I'm making an animal cell) and it was allowed to be edible, so i made mine out of rice crispy treats and carved it into something resembling a sphere. I wanted to put royal icing on it dyed red, but since it's made with egg whites, i don't know if it'll go bad since the projects aren't allowed to be refrigerated, and it's going to be sitting there for like, 3 days. Will the icing go bad just sitting there? If it would, what other icing could i use for my cell? Maybe some kind that will harden, like royal icing? Thank you so much.

No the icing will not go bad, This type of icing is used on gingerbread houses and they last along time. The icing will go hard though.
