Does anyone know the history of the first Buddha statue?
There are so many on the internet and I just need to know who created the first one and when it was done and the location of it present day. Thank you!!

the first representations of Buddha come from what are now Afghanistan and Pakistan. They resulted form the interaction between Hellenic (Greek) culture and Buddhist culture. Up until then, Buddha was represented only through symbols, not life-like (anthropomorphic) sculpture. The first representations date from after the conquest of this region by Alexander the Great, who brought Hellenic culture to that region, so about 4th century BC.
