How much money do I need for a Black Velvet chinchilla, cage, and supplies?

Around what amount should I be sure to have before buying everything?
Just curious, I'm interested in maybe getting one if my mom agrees. :S
I know they can be REALLY expensive, but I still would like to know how much I'd need about.

Chinchilla Owner and have the perfect size cage and all supplies!!!

Chinchilla: Well, I got my standard gray one from Petco and the other gray one from a breeder... From Petco it was 175$, but from my breeder it was 75$... Black Velvets are a little more expensive so around 200$ from Petco and maybe 100-150$ from a breeder.

Cage: I got mine at Petco for around 80$.. It is a kit so it comes with all the supplies you need at first including:
This complete kit surrounds your chinchilla with all the comforts of home. A run around ball: 16$
A dust bath: 13$
A running wheel: 23$ for appropriate sized wheel for a grown chinchilla so you wont have to keep re-buying.
And maybe even a cozy hammock: 7$
And then the supplies down the road when you run out of them!!
