What else is there to learn from Astrology other than the 12 signs and natal charts?
Natal astrology is One Kind and obviously the best known. There are other ways astrology is used. The simplest is horary astrology. A person, the querent, asks a question of an astrologer and a chart is drawn up for the time of the question and by applying the rules of horary an answer is determined. In most cases ony a few planets are used in the chart.
Next comes electional astrology. This is sort of the reverse of horary. Instead of asking when will something happen, a client goes to the astrologer to determine the best time to start a venture, meet someone, etc. The best electional astrology also uses the natal chart.
Next in complexity is natal astrology. Every planet and every house is used in a natal delineation, plus there are other charts used, directions, progressions returns etc, making it far more complex than horary. Medical astrology is part of natal astrology and is very complex. It is studied today as a curiosity as it is illegal to make a medical diagnosis from an Astrology Chart. The subject is interesting or at least I think it is.
After that is mundane astrology or the astrology of nations and kings. Currently the fashion is to use charts cast for the "birth" of a nation and apply other techniques to make forecasts about that nation. Aries Ingress charts are also used in mundane astrology.
An offshoot of mundane astrology is astro-meteorology or the study of astrology and how it relates to weather. I know people who love that stuff, but I can't get into it.
Finally, and this will make the skeptics' heads explode, there is astrological magic. There are very few practitioners of this art. It is not pulling a rabbit out of a hat or other stage magician tricks. It is related to electional astrology but includes the creation of talismans and other charms in order to bring about a desired result. You'll have to dig to find information on this subject.
